Imminence Tour 2026

Imminence, a Swedish metalcore outfit, coalesced around the vision of vocalist and violinist Eddie Berg and guitarist Harald Barrett. Formed in Trelleborg, the band's sound is characterized by a dynamic interplay between heavy, chugging guitar riffs and melodic, often melancholic, violin arrangements. Berg's vocal delivery spans from guttural screams and growls to clean, emotive singing, creating a versatile sonic landscape. The rhythm section, comprised of bassist Max Holgerson and drummer Peter Hanström, provides a powerful and precise foundation, driving the band's often aggressive but equally atmospheric compositions. Their music frequently incorporates orchestral elements and soaring melodies, distinguishing them within the broader metalcore genre by adding a layer of sophisticated drama to their aggressive core.

Attending an Imminence concert is an experience designed to be immersive and impactful. The band prioritizes a theatrical presentation, often utilizing intricate lighting designs and smoke effects to enhance the emotional weight of their music. Their setlists are carefully curated, balancing fan favorites with newer material, ensuring a journey through their discography that appeals to both long-time followers and recent converts. While they have played larger festival stages, Imminence often performs in mid-sized venues, which allows for a more intimate connection between the band and the audience. This scale often results in a palpable energy in the room, where the intensity of their sound can be felt throughout the space, creating a memorable live atmosphere.

Over their career, Imminence has steadily built a reputation through a series of impactful releases. Albums such as "This Is Goodbye" and "Turn the Light On" are frequently cited as pivotal moments, showcasing their evolving sound and solidifying their unique blend of aggression and melody. Tracks like "The Sickness" and "Infectious" have become signature songs, often eliciting strong crowd reactions during live performances due to their infectious riffs and powerful vocal hooks. Their participation in various European metal festivals has also introduced them to wider audiences, further cementing their standing within the scene and demonstrating their ability to captivate large crowds with their distinctive sound.

Imminence occupies a compelling space within the modern metalcore and post-hardcore scenes. Their sound appeals to listeners who appreciate the raw power of heavy music but also seek intricate melodies and emotional depth. Fans of bands that blend aggression with orchestral or melodic elements, such as Architects, Northlane, or even Bring Me The Horizon's earlier work, often find common ground with Imminence. Their audience tends to be passionate and engaged, drawn to the band's introspective lyrics and the cathartic release offered by their music. The live shows often attract a diverse crowd, united by an appreciation for technically proficient and emotionally resonant heavy music.

A typical Imminence headlining show generally runs for approximately 75 to 90 minutes, depending on the venue and specific tour. They are often supported by one or two opening acts, usually from within the metalcore, post-hardcore, or melodic death metal genres, providing a cohesive sonic experience for the evening. The atmosphere in the room during an Imminence show is usually characterized by high energy, with mosh pits often forming in the general admission areas, alongside sections of the crowd simply absorbing the music.
